About General Mat Company
Since we started business in 1994, The General Mat Company has provided floor matting solutions for some of Australia’s top retailers, including Coles Supermarkets, Liquorland, Dick Smith Electronics, Kmart, Target, and Woolworths.
We have also worked with a wide range of other customers, including Hyatt Hotels, Australia Post, BP, McDonald’s, Mitsubishi, Ford, GM, and The Star casino in Sydney to name a few.
In addition to the biggest names in Australian business, we have also put rubber mats and floor mats in government offices, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and universities.
We now have the capability to distribute rubber mats and runner mats to every state and territory in Australia, as well as New Zealand. Despite this success, we are constantly expanding our distributor and customer base and upgrading our inventory.
Safety
Our major concern is the safety and comfort of your staff and customers. In light of this concern, we have created Australia’s largest catalogue of safety, slip-resistant, and anti-fatigue matting.
We also offer Australia’s largest selection of runner and rubber mats with special safety features. A number of mats have undergone CSRIO slip-resistance testing in an effort to improve safety.
To protect Australia’s environment and our children’s future, General Mat Company has become a member of the Green Building Council of Australia. We pride ourselves in offering a number of matting solutions that comply with the Green Initiative.
