General Mat Company is Acknowledged as Champion of
Champions
Small
businesses were honoured at the fourth annual Small
Business Awards Champion of Champions on Friday, 31st
May 2002 at the Sydney SuperDome before an audience
of 2000 people.
The General Mat Company was acknowledged as
the Champion of Champions in the Import Business category,
contending with other finalists to be nominated the
most deserving of recognition.
This year over 300 small business finalists from across
the state vied for the ultimate accolade to be the Champion
of Champion in their industry category.
Judging was carried out by an independent panel of
Industry experts whose assessment was based on Business
History, Business Marketing & Promotion, Customer
Service, Community Involvement, Business Growth & Achievements,
Staff Training & Motivation, and Highlights of the
Past Twelve Months.
Presented by Precedent Productions, the presentation
evening was a spectacular event, with an array of personalities
and entertainment.

awards as major sponsor. Support sponsors were CPA Australia,
MYOB, Resource NSW and Sydney SuperDome. The program
was supported by NSW Department of State and Regional
Development.
